USP of this hotel is though its right in the middle of the city, its in the middle of the nature too. Its quite and colorful here. Our kids loved their stay here. Food is ok, but you are better off eating outside. Professional staff means good service. Only problem we had is they kept moving us to a different room every day.

Villa Retreat is small ,simple yet superb. The stay at this hotel itself made our trip to Kodaikanal quite memorable. The staff (Mr Asok) is very nice, humble and always taken care of our needs. We stayed in the Deluxe room and with the economy package, it is the best deal for the money. You will get all the things that they have described in the package. The location is exactly same as in the photos on their site. The beautiful lawn view and breath taking away views of the beautiful kodaikanal hills are amazing.
The hotel it self is on the Coaker's walk which is one of the main attractions. and also lake and park are with in 2 min walking distance. The nature tour that they have provided is quite amazing and these places won't be seen usually in most of the packages.
I highly recommend this to anyone. If we go to Kodiakanal again then we would definitely stay in this hotel.

Best thing about Villa Retreat is the warmth with which we were welcomed. With our 10-month old baby, we did not feel any inconveniences. Though, its not a huge resort, its very beautiful and nicely done up. Food is delicious and very neatly served. As everyone said, valley view is wonderful from the hotel and beautiful lawn, and places of interest (Coaker's walk, Bryant Park, Lake, market) are couple of min walk. Their Classic room has breathtaking window view while Deluxe rooms are good value for money. Avoid standard room until it is improved. We stayed in deluxe room. Thanks to Mr. Ashok and Mr. Aashiq for their support with reservations and stay and Mr. Murugan for serving us well. We hope to return back soon.

A great place to stay admist mother nature. The service was excellent, great food, very homely and rooms were clean and tastefully done up. The valley view from the hotel is breath taking and a must to have a meal on the lawns facing the valley view. On the whole, it was awesome and no complaints. I would definitely recommend this place. It is economical as well. Cheers to all the staff members (Dina/Ashok/Shakthi) and looking forward to another visit very soon!!

We were 7 families and had a wonderful and warm new year and stay and villa retreat. THe staff especially( Mr. Anbu )were very accomodating and courteous. THe day trip organised with packed lunch was great. Thanks and hope you maintain the standard. Only flaw would be that the bathrooms would need to be spruced up. Views were excellent and the place was amazing.

Overall we had a very good experience @ Villa Retreat. Hotel is professionally managed and their service is excellent (Big thanks to Mr. Dina and Mr. Anbu for making it a memorable stay - very courteous and willing to address any of our concerns). We stayed in one of their newly renovated cottage, and it was neat and cosy; The view from the lawn is simply breathtaking; make sure that you have breakfast here or sip some beer during the evening. Please insist on staying in one of their newly done rooms or ask for the superior classic rooms. The room/ housekeeping service was prompt and helpful. If you are looking forward to a tension-free vacation, I'd definitely recommend this place and it is of course value for money.
